About Kara
Hi, I’m Dr. Kara Foster - an eye doctor, small business owner, nonprofit leader, and proud mom of three daughters. I’ve lived the joys and challenges that come with raising a family, running a practice, and serving a community I love.
As the founder of EyeCare for You, a local direct care optometry practice, I’ve seen how our healthcare system often gets in the way of real care. That’s why I’ve spent my career working around the system—offering affordable care without the red tape. Through my nonprofit work, I also lead teams providing free eye care locally and in underserved communities abroad.
Now, I’m running for Town Council because I believe we can do better right here at home. I want to help create a Holly Springs where families thrive, kids grow up healthy and supported, and local businesses are empowered to lead the way.
I believe in common-sense solutions rooted in compassion, prevention, and people-first leadership.
